VisitScotland is Scotland’s national tourism organisation and their citybreaks.visitscotland.com website aims to inspire and inform visitors with the purpose of attracting visitors to Scotland’s six cities; Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling.

The site contains all the information that consumers need to get the best out of a short break trip to any of Scotland’s cities. It lists the top visitor attractions and provides a wealth of information on what to see and do as well as travel information on how to get to and get around the cities. The site also contains invaluable insider knowledge on all the best places for eating, drinking and shopping and a comprehensive list of events and festivals for each city.

A new addition to the site is a user generated photography gallery where consumers can upload their photos of Scotland’s cities. The new section of the site was launched in July 2007 and upload of images to the site is incentivised by a competition to win a new Canon EOS 350D camera, a trip to Scotland and a day as a photographer’s assistant with top professional photographer, Graham Wylie of Nisbet Wylie.
